Who We Are
Programs & Activities
South Bay LGBTQ Center offers a wide variety of programs and activity groups for community members of all ages. Our goal is to celebrate and uplift our LGBTQ+/Queer community in the South Bay area. NOTE: Meeting times are subject to change.
drop-in office hours
Monday, 4:30pm - 8:00pm
Wednesday, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
The South Bay LGBTQ Center is open for walk-ins every Monday & Wednesday.
Everyone is welcome to join us, ask our volunteers questions, check out the space, and stay for a beverage and snack.
This is a supportive, fun, respectful environment that promotes the development of community, personal identity, pride and queer culture.
Arts & crafts
Date: Wednesday
Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
This group is open to all, and it is centered around whatever arts/crafts projects you're in the mood for! Some basic art supplies like paper, pencils, and paint are provided by the center, but folks are encouraged to bring their own. Crafty participation not required if you just need a peaceful safe space for a few hours.
Trans* Social Support Group
Date: Wednesdays
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Join us every Wednesday from 7:00PM - 9:00PM at the South Bay LGBTQ Center.
As a peer led social-support group for Trans*, Gender Non-Conforming, Gender Fluid, Non-Binary people at all stages and gender variance, for those questioning their gender identity and need someone to talk to, friends and family members of transgender people. This is a place to discuss issues in a safe, welcoming atmosphere of inclusion and acceptance.
CHRONIC PAIN SUPPORT Group
Date: THURSDAYS
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
This is a peer led support group exploring mental and somatic practices for alleviating common struggles faced by those with chronic pain. Join us as we discuss shared experiences as queer people living with chronic health issues and discuss the many ways we can manage our pain.
Queer Jam & Music time

Come by the center to learn, plat, repair, and jam with our amazing community.
Bring your own instruments, but there will be some instruments/amps/equipment provided.
Schedule:
1st Hour: Beginner Learning & Repair Time
30 mins: Lunch Time (on your own)
90 mins: Song Learning/Jam Time

Women's Group
(NOT MEETING)
All women are invited to attend the Women's Group. We welcome ideas for future topics and how to reach other women in the area/community. This is an opportunity for you to help shape this new venture.
The South Bay Center's women's group is for all women - lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, queers, questioning and allies.
This group provides a fun, safe and inviting environment for women to meet other women and enjoy stimulating conversations. This group will discuss topics, followed by an open discussion forum where women are able to share ideas and topics that are on their minds.
